The movers have been and gone, leaving our sleeping bags, food and laptops behind. Home is where the broadband is.
Our stuff isn't enough to fill a whole van so it's been carted off to storage in Paris where it will eventually hitch a ride with some other people's furniture. It's not very convenient having to wait for our stuff to arrive in London but it's considerably cheaper this way (cheaper in the relative sense, international moving costs are painful).
The last time we moved -- from Leiden to Paris -- we hired a van and had a lot of kind friends helping us. This is the first time we've used a moving company. My conclusion is that cloggies are more efficient and definitely more fun. They also don't deliberately drop boxes marked fragile on the floor.
