Bethnal Green update
Sorry for not updating earlier but normal life continues too. :)
This morning revealed a few broken windows on a nearby street but that's as close as the disturbances got last night. The main trouble spots in Bethnal Green (and Bow) were a little further away.
It's incredibly quiet around here today. Sad because it's school holidays and normally there'd be kids all over. Nearby shops have closed early on police advice. I'm staying in and Wingnut is coming home early.
I get the distinct feeling that Londoners are starting to get a handle on this. A broom handle, to be precise. Family in the Netherlands tell me that news of the volunteer clean up crews has just been featured there. I'm glad that side of the story is being shown too.
ETA: Nothing's been set on fire here apart from a bin, as far as I can tell.
