The Doctor Will Sue You Now
Speaking of books, I have been very remiss in not posting a link to the missing chapter from Bad Science: The Doctor Will Sue You Now about vitamin pill seller Matthias Rath and AIDs policy in South Africa.
Ben Goldacre couldn't include this chapter in the first edition of Bad Science because Matthias Rath was suing him, and The Guardian, for libel. He talked a bit about it during his book promotion last year, and IIRC he requested a video edit for the swearing. :) So I should've been prepared for seeing the chapter in its full glory, but I'm still astonished at what took place. And what makes Ben Goldacre's work so excellent is that he researches a huge story like this and then goes on to show it as part of a greater pattern.
