The Friday Flasher
Can you believe the state of affairs here - fuel prices are getting so bloody ridiculous! I had to fill my car today and it cost me nearly $120.00! It's $1.49 a litre for premium, which my 4WD has to have. Insane.
Almost as crazy as bananas - we had a cyclone about 6-8 weeks ago in the banana growing areas in Queensland in Australia, and a good majority of the stocks were wiped out. Bought 2 bananas today (they're the only fruit Harry will eat) and the lady at the check-out says to me "That'll be $4.90" - WTF! Harry better eat every last piece!
And another week is at an end - we have a long weekend - it's Queens Birthday weekend here. Tony has a huge project lined up for the weekend - we're digging out an area under the house, to make more storage room. So, today we have 2 massive skip bins in our driveway and a few of his mates arriving tomorrow to help dig. Better them than me, but of course, SOMEONE will have to feed them. Guess who? Just as well I went grocery shopping today.
