Fangirl fun... aka When Sierra met Rosie....
I definitely don't get to do enough of these. Meeting up with a friend from your flist is the best thing out, isn't it? Even when the weather is raining cats and dogs, as it is here right now. For this lady though, it was totally worth sitting in traffic on the Harbour Bridge for twenty minutes. *g*
I had the great pleasure of spending three or so hours with the Youthful and Vibrant rosie_spleen today, on hols here with her family. We decided - for nostalgia's sake - to meet up as we had before at Balmain. While heading toward my car to find a close-by cafe (so I could keep an eye on the meter - council parking patrols are VICIOUS here - we stumbled across the very same little cafe we met at three years prior. LOL. It hadn't changed at all - still had a cosy little space out back (away from the most horrendous rain that has been lashing Australia's entire east coast for the past 2 days!) which was utterly perfect for two great mates to talk about all things TV, fandom, real life and everything in between. *g*
We both came bearing TV show gifts - all you fangirls might appreciate this - Rosie gave me seasons 1-3 of Breaking Bad to watch, and I returned the favour with the latest episode of Dexter, figuring that she probably hadn't been able to download it while on holidays. So hilarious - and exactly what we'd both wanted.
Time flew by as it always does when we're together - and Management were very impressed that this time, we didn't spill any tea! LOL.
