I had this fic half-finished and rattling around on my hard drive ever since Brad met his demise, but it wasn't until reading Candy's lovely words about PB writers that I finally got my ass into gear and completed it this weekend. :)

I'm so glad you enjoyed this - I rewatched that scene with Lincoln and Brad in the pipe earlier today and it was just as raw and heart-breaking as ever. RIP, Brad.

I think the idea that Lincoln--who has been accused of being obtuse on so many occassions--was the one who understood more than any other the significance of Brad's sacrifice is so beautiful. He went from being one of their enemies to being their savior, and only someone who has been so far down the rabbit hole himself could appreciate just how far Brad had come.

This was poetic prose, and just another reminder of how much the world is lacking by not having more fic by you, my dear. Thanks for finding the time in your busy schedule. I do so appreciate it.
