I wish i could say i've finished something here, but that's just not the case. Instead, i have non-fanfic, OC story that's just now come available on Goodreads in case anyone would like to check it out. You have to join the M/M Romance group to access it, but that's not hard. They may take a day or two to approve your membership request - depends

i have to say that i agree with you regarding the quality of stories available on the market today. i don't get it. i've read a lot in the Supernatural fandom, as well as the Stargate Atlantis fandoms and Brokeback of course. also a bit in Hawaii 50. in most all of the stories i read in all of the fandoms, the characters were presented as men who loved other men. in most of the OC stories, the men feel more like women with penises. they are too dramatic, too emotional, too weepy, needy, clingy, dependent, etc. that makes me crazy and i can't read the story. another big pet peeve of mine is awkward, unrealistic conversations. people use contractions, they don't always use proper english, and they sometimes speak in odd ways because of where they live, local dialect, etc. i'm not sure if that gets whitewashed out in editing or if folks just don't work it into their stories because they think it would be a turn off, but the opposite is true for me.
anyway, rant over. thank you for listening! the stories i had available have timed-out with my publisher and i don't really have anything other than fanfic. i'm going to work on some more novel-length stories this winter. a lot of folks wanted a sequel to LYM but i don't think i have anything else to say about those characters. i have a few WIP's that i'd like to wrap up and edit, and i also have considered having another go at my prompt with different characters and a different writing style. so hopefully i'll have something else to offer up soon.
thank you for the offer of artwork. that's very kind. if the situation comes up, i'll be in touch. :)
