So a few weeks ago my director found a stray kitten wandering in the street, and knowing he had an office full of crazy cat owners, brought it in and attempted to sucker us into taking it. None of us bit (all the cat owners had multiple cats and were, in general, forbidden by significant others from bringing home another one) but through the mighty friends network, the little girl was placed with a friend (one of the people from the playreading group, actually). Said friend is in Chicago for a week, and requested some kitty-sitting, which of course we were happy to provide. I suggested bringing her to our house, since she apparently has at one point already figured out how to crawl into the vents (her current owner heard mewing from the middle of her living room floor) and I was a little scared that we'd show up and be unable to find her because she'd be in the ceiling or something. So she is currently in our (large) bedroom, being adorable all over the place and puzzling the other cats through the door. She also likes sleeping on people. Here are some photos of Hino, our temporary kitten. There will probably be more over the week.
