Writing Exercise: I Need Your Help!
I'm one of those people who enjoys crafting stories but can never come up with an interesting premise. Yet I want to write, both to fulfill my creative impulse and to improve my style. So I have a proposition for you:
Give me characters and a setting; I will turn them into a chapter-length story and post it on my journal.
I'm open to just about anything: fantasy, sci-fi, modern realism, historical, genre-bending, happy, sad, bizarre... whatever. Is there some story you've always wanted to be told? All I need is some detail about the characters, their setting, and their relationships to one another. Could be as vague as "guy meets girl at supermarket," or as particular as you please, so long as the topic doesn't bore me to tears.
So please, take 5 minutes to think it over, and give me a hand with some starter material. I'll be ever so grateful, and you'll get your very own customized short story in return. :)
