I bought three pounds of taffy the other day. I'm a fucking addict.
In other news, I need a beating. I mean a real thrashing. I need a good punk show with a really rough pit. I need to let everything out, and that's the least-destructive way I know.
Random fact about Braden time! I'm actually passive-aggressive. I get comments all the time about how easy-going I am, how nice, how harmless, how nothing ever bothers me. But it all builds up, and up, and up, and then I snap, and for a few moments there I'm one of the most violent and vicious people you will ever meet. And I hate that about myself. But, I found a cure.
A good mosh pit is better then any drug I've ever tried, and I've tried a few. Sometimes, a good pit is better then sex, and I'm really not kidding when I say that. Everything just gets let out, all of it, and at the end I'm drained of any and all negative emotion. All that's left is a solid euphoria and the weird sense of comraderie that develops between those who were in there with you.
I've gotten a high-five from someone for elbowing them in the face. I walked up to someone and shook their hand for sending me flying across the floor, because it was the best hit I got all night.
I'm not about to tout the the virtues of punk rock and violence in good fun; we have our share of assholes just like everyone else. This sort of thing isn't for everyone. In fact, it seems to apply to very few. But, those people understand.
"How much can you know about yourself if you've never been in a fight?"
I'm in a music mood. This is bad.
