Another month
Status over the last 1 1/2 month changed - started working, meaning I don't slack at home or go for trips out anymore (at least for leisure).
Had gone to Bangkok for work and met up with Boyd, his gf Mai and made a new friend in Taku (Mai's Japanese friend). They are funny people - especially Taku when he attempted the MK dance.
Had breakfast with Karen at the Met - it's been more than a year since I last saw her. Nice to see her on vacation.
Went to London (on official business) - and had great meals with David again. Together with Raymond, we went for "We will rock you". Nice musical (the ending felt pretty abrupt tho) but then I feel Mama mia was nicer - cause the audience really got into the mood.
Just had a birthday celebration with Geraldine (Chuan Lin's wife) and friends yesterday evening and ended the night with drink at Dempsey - it's been years since I last went there (prob 3) and it felt quite different because of the setup. I believe everyone of us had a great time that evening.
Sometimes, it's incredible how new friends can talk so much - i guess it boils down to the fact that each party is willing listener to what the other has to offer.
watched 20th Century Boys over the weekend - felt that it doesn't really lived up to the manga cause of the pacing and the condensation towards the end of the movie. The adaptation did made the story more coherent. I had to reread prior volumes just to get back on the story when a new volume comes out. Hopefully the 2nd part gets better.
I think "Monster" is a much better work and could be more easily adapted for either Film or TV. Hopefully it does happen.
