So I've been in Nantucket upwards of two weeks as of today and I realized I was getting bored and a little cranky because there isn't so much I can do here and I don't have a job (honestly, I don't really want one), but I want to do something with my time other then reading, watching The Sopranos and planting.
Then yesterday, it hit me, as I was planting some Diamond Frost among the Indian Paintbrushes that I had planted about a week ago.
Cook! Bake!
And so I have! I've made (from scratch) these cinnamon crisps (more like square cookies) and I made tonight's dinner, which was something very tasty! We had baked chicken with parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs, which were sticking to the chicken with an olive oil and minced garlic mix - very tasty. Then I cut up these ickle red potatoes, marinated them for an hour in a mix of mayo, white wine, rosemary and garlic powder before grilling them on skewers.
All very tasty and there is so much more to come!
