Saw shortbus the other night. Awesome movie with or without the fucking. I heard people complain about the end, and yes, it was pretentious and heavy handed, but I thought it was kind of perfect, too. It certainly didn't look like anything was going to work out favorably for anyone, then it became absurdly optimistic and hopeful...which is almost perfect, as things don't work out in real life, the director made the ending so incredibly manic and melodramatic that it kind of made you sad. While lots of people just felt unsatisfied with that, I didn't. The only possible way for that those concurrent train wrecks that they called lives to work out was through a big group song. Also, the music was top notch, and it had the second funniest sexually graphic gay threesome ever recorded. All in all the movie did have a lot of heart, some fucking (that didn't shock me, as I visit consumptionjunction and stileproject on a regular basis, the fuckin' seemed almost normal in context, even the moneyshots.) The entire audience laughed uproariously on several occasions. And I didn't notice anyone except me who was jacking off during the pic.
