I hads it, I thinks.

Yesterday, worst ride home ever. I was literally within a couple miles of home and wasn't sure I was going to make it. No traffic, no problems, I just couldn't ride.

I was so cold, even though I had full gear, multiple layers, winter "insulated" gloves, weatherproof pants, etc. The main problem was hands and feet. I could not feel my hands, which made it very difficult to shift and control the throttle. Also, I couldn't feel my feet, which made it very hard to shift as well.

Then the mind thing started. I was confused and couldn't think, and also couldn't hear thanks to the lovely earplugs I had in. I felt like the only sense I had left was sight, which thankfully was still working fine.

Riding a motorcycle with zero feel is kinda scary. I wasn't sure I could make it but couldn't really think of any options, even though now I realize I could have stopped and warmed my hands on the cylinder head or used the cell phone.

I'm not entirely sure I was getting hypothermia, but I was really really cold, and was getting so drowsy and confused. It was miserable.

plan: polypropylene glove liners, WIND-proof gloves, wear my expensive (but purchased cheap on ebay) insulated, weatherproof riding boots, good socks, maybe a neck warmer (they sell those,) oh, and zip up all the vents on my gear, all of which were open last night, jacket, pants, helmet. Also, pull over when I feel like I can't ride.
