sending angry email

Oct 23, 2011 18:03

I've still got it.

Seriously, that used to be my specialty, albeit snail mail vs. email. Even my dad would have me draft up an angry letter if he was receiving bad service in some way or another. I know just where to put the knife in, you see, and just how to twist it.

Btw, the part about Harley representing the USA, I don't actually believe that. Many of their bikes are made in Brazil, and they're opening up a plant in India. For a pure-er US bike, I would go for a Victory, if I was so inclined, which I'm not. I like my little GZ250. It's cute, and I took it on the freeway and drove 170miles to work and back and damn are the insides of my thighs still sore from clamping on the gas tank, but other than that it was a good ride.

So without further ado, this is my email I sent to Chicago HD because they were supposed to send me a jacket by Oct. 12, and they haven't responded to any of my emails on ebay.

Hi, I do not understand exactly how I am to receive this order. I paid instantly, using paypal, immediately after clicking
"buy it now," and you're welcome for that, by the way. That was on October 4th. Estimated shipping date was up to
October 12th. I sent 2, and now 6 emails and received no response whatsoever.

I looked on your ebay "me" page and tracked down your actual business, and so I'm emailing there.

Seriously, and without any joke intended, if you are doing business on ebay you should do business on ebay.
If you're doing business then do business. That means when someone pays for something then you send it.
Anything else is fraud, and if you'll kindly check your own ebay listing, you'll see no disclaimers or warnings about
"If this is out of stock we will hold your order indefinitely, or until you contact the paypal fraud division and have your
payment retracted."

I don't click on stuff for ebay for fun, and I do spend a lot of money online. This is beyond reproachable and
doing a simple google search, which I highly suggest you do, will show link after link of people bad mouthing
your company, which is supposed to be your pride and represents you as a business person, and people are bad
mouthing chicago hd up one side and down the other, about no communication, insanely slow shipping, customer
support that does not care the slightest bit, and a general business model that belongs more in the 3rd world
than representing the USA, like Harley should.

I don't care, honestly, if you want to run your own business into the ground. And yes, I'm referring to the owners, not
the person in the "internet department" who has to field endless hate emails. I'm just pissed that I paid your company
instantly, and you've sent me nothing. If this is not rectified I will do everything in my power to seek recompense for
this and to let everyone know on every motorcycle forum that I'm a member of, of the ridiculous lack of service
that I have received.

If my item is sent promptly then I will consider this matter closed, and I suggest that you do as well.

Oh, and if you don't know what good business looks like, look at this email I just got as I was writing this one:
