So we arrived on Monday. I went around the neighbourhood. My aunt and uncle live on the side of the Bay. I went around to all those little places I liked to explore, up the creek around all over.
I have a ton of great pictures, sadly they're too big to be posted, but I'll send a few out. Admiring the view. I like just being there. I find it relaxing, I mean some people like being up north, some like lying on the beach, I like sitting on my uncle's deck looking out into the bay and enjoying a book, which is what I did.
I visited relatives, as is the habit now. First was my Aunt Yvonne, and the next day we (my father and I) visited my Aunt Sure, then my Great Grandmother and some Great Aunts and Uncles on my mother's side, and then my Aunt Mary, my Aunt Glad and Uncle Ignatius (Nish for short) and Uncle Jim. My uncle Nish if you recall had a heart attack. My uncle Jim was recently treated for bowel or prostate cancer, I'm not sure which. I think bowel. Also my aunt Mary had a stroke a few years ago, and therefore makes me sad.
During the evenings we went out moose hunting. We were successful finally on Friday and I snapped a picture of one, it was a yearling, but whatever it was a moose, I still look forward to seeing a Bull Moose one day. When I was two years old my family went to Newfoundland, I was in my Uncle Jim's truck when a moose, with antlers, crossed the road, to this day that memory is in my head. I think I might have a white whale complex where no matter how many moose I see I won't be satisfied until I see one that impresses me the same amount.
We talked about going ice berg hunting but I didn't want to be on the road for another full day.
On Thursday I climbed a mountain with my aunts Sue and Joan and my dad. We did it in a few hours and it was pretty big, so obviously I'm a hero for doing it, I have photographic prove.
The trip was too short and we mounted up and headed home after only 5 days in Newfoundland.
That about covers it.
