University Faces

Well I've been quite for a while, so I'll add something. I got excellent news a few days ago. I got accepted to Brock University!!!

Did you make the face? I call it "The Brock Face." People have a certain expression of interested excitement when you tell them you have good news. Then as they listen they usually start to smile and look happy to express their happiness for you. Or, they could not meet your level of happiness by giving you the Brock Face.

Since we're in the Olympics season I'll put it in that context. Imagine that an athlete called home, or met someone and happily declared, "I came in fourth!" That's the Brock Face, a face that immediately displays the lack of "impressment" towards your particular accomplishment.

Brock has two unofficial slogans.

If you can walk and talk,
You can go to Brock.

The other is...

If you can suck calk (use your imagination),
You can go to Brock.

I declare that if you can do all three at one time, you're an extremely impressive person, perhaps more impressive then Brock University itself. I thought some of the reaction was a little, well superior. Most were very pleased, and even if you aren't impressed, fake it. I recognize that Brock isn't Yale, Harvard, Queens or Oxford, but that doesn't place it between Clown College and Canine Training School.

Brock isn't where I want to go in fact, I want to go to Sir Wilfrid Laurier at Brantford. If I don't get in I believe I murder someone and throw their body in the river. Volunteers are welcome.

Brock does have nice school colours and I don't know too much about them, I'll reserve harsh judgement or glowing praise after I've gone to the open house.
