Bast says, "Welcome! I do have some words that your Guides have been waiting to give you. First, have no fear that you will be unwelcome in your new home. Second, I believe that Horus has something to say."

Horus says, "Vast the skies before you/ Long the journey runs/ Hard the sails pull/ Lift them high and ride!"

I like this, but I have been many times a sailor in my past journeys. I see you bent over, apparently under some burden. As you straighten up, it pours off you like so much sand, while light fills in the space before you and spills out over what you're leaving behind.

The path has been long behind you, but there is journey still ahead, and it looks sparse but beautiful.

Bastet has been dear to me for many years, as has her fiery sister Sekhmet. I have no questions just now. Things have been going well enough, and for that I am grateful.

I would just ask if there is anything I should know, and I would express greetings and gratitude.

Bast smiles warmly and shows herself giving you a close hug.

Horus says, "If you would shine, light your fire. Yet it has been stoked and lit for some time... it seems that your light is your own and not ours to command. So be it!"

The Hero's Deck shows you the challenge of Pain -- but then the gift of Charity. Perhaps this is not your pain, but another's, and the charity yours to give. Or perhaps this is acknowledgment of both within you, and how you have met your troubles. Regardless, they show you a time when you might be greater than you are, of necessity.

I would like to know what they have to say about the current situation in Egypt. (Heavy, I know.)

Bast shakes her head. "Tears in my eyes."
She sings a few notes, of an old song of mourning.

Horus says, "The Pharaohs would be disappointed. Where once great faith in those who worked for their leaders was held above the stars in importance, now even the highest places are cast into chaos and disarray. Egypt will outlast it, but will the People?"

I haven't been following closely. When I look at Eypt, I see the state's current borders, but small bites are creeping in. When I look at the situation as such, it's a flurry of dust and chaos, but pulling back a little shows me a clear path coming toward everything. It's not a kind force walking that path, but order will soon prevail. There seem to be two armies marching on either side of it, wearing different uniforms but with a similar purpose. And there is a light coming, further and higher and straighter on. Egypt will prevail, meaning the nation itself; the Pharaohs do look on.

The Hero's Deck wants to show you a Leader, shining with power, ready but held back. What's holding that Leader from the task?

Horus says, "If you would shine, reach for lights that want to work with you."

Bast smiles, and gestures to me.

I see a woman, leaning over her broom, scrubbing at something. As it lights up, she leans back with a smile. Something you've been working on is about to come free.

The Hero's Deck shows you a gift of Tools. They are emblematic of your power and craft, but they receive only basic care. Perhaps one wants to be given greater purpose or ability?

My thanks to you, Bast, and the Hero's deck. The images don't click right now, but I'm sure it will soon :)
