He'd taken the little girl, Toph's, direction and managed to find an unoccupied living space. It was as spacious as any inn room he'd been to, and the Uchiha immediately took to rooting the place out for something that could help him learn more about his whereabouts. Besides all the commotion he could hear outside - really, could these walls be any more paper-thin? - he knew he would need to rest. The only thing that was stopping him from simply collapsing onto one of the cots he'd found was the fact that he had no one to guard him while he slept. Which would, of course, require him to remain half-awake and alert, just in case. After what that girl had done...
Sasuke eased himself down onto the cot, rubbing a hand over his forehead before subconsciously sliding it to touch the sore curse seal on his neck, and then reaching further back, where small, dragon-esque wings clung to his spine. This was all so fucking unreal... Maybe it was a dream. Maybe he was dead.
...But that was impossible. There was no way. He couldn't die. Not after...
Closing black eyes and succumbing to uneasy unconsciousness, Sasuke clutched his weapon to his chest. Despite his own racing thoughts, fatigue won him over eventually.
