Tea time!

Summary: Chatting, basically. Haohmaru's had things on his mind and Okita is a listening ear.

Even though Hanatarou had told him to rest, as soon as the pain killers from the berries kicked in, Okita was up and moving about. He had things to do, after all. With his arm immobilized at the moment, he was only able to do a few of those things, but he couldn't stay idle forever. Especially not with Haohmaru coming over sooner or later.
The captain went to work, tidying up the room, disposing of bloodied bandages and putting away spare baskets he'd made recently. The one basket with fresh bandages and the berries were left by the bed as Hanatarou had ordered. With beds tidied and the room straightened, he set about making a pot of tea and set out the appropriate accompanying sweets. He didn't have a large store anymore, but he had enough of a variety that perhaps it would be alright.
If there was one thing Okita Souji missed about being home (besides the obvious) it was having seasonally appropriate sweets and side dishes to put out. He wasn't one for the fancy parties and other things that the samurai families put on, but he did appreciate their foods. Setting a tray of cookies and sugar candies out, Okita sat down on the bed, more than a little exhausted. Things were so much harder to do with just one arm. Laying back on the bed, he stared at his arm, running a finger along it. He had so much still to learn.
