Jet made his way through the forest to the spot Eiji had described. It wasn't too difficult to find, seeing as how he'd been exploring the forest everyday, making a mental map of various landmarks and trees that he frequently visited. His long, tawny tail flicked back and forth as he scanned the canopy, looking for Eiji.

"Yo, Eiji? Where you at?" he called.

Eiji clung tightly to the tree branch as he heard Jet's voice. He opened his eyes, looking around. He let out a soft meow.

"J-Jet? I-is that you, nyah?" he called back, still shaking. He would not let go of that branch until he knew he was safe.

"Yeah, it's me," said Jet, craning his head back and shading his eyes against the glare of the sun. Damn, that kid was pretty high up ... "How the hell didja get way up there?"

Yeah, definitely a good idea to wear his Radical Sneakers. Because it looked like he was going to need them.

Eiji wrapped his tail tightly around the tree branch he was on, his ears flattening against his head. Why did he have to feel this stupid? He let his guard down when climbing up this tree and let his feline instincts take control... Tezuka-bucho would not let him live this down.

"I didn't know I w-was this high up wh-when I wa-AH!"

He lost his grip just slightly, slipping a little. The redheaded neko gripped tighter to the branch.
