Johnny had gone exploring that day, telling Blink that he'd be back in the evening. He enjoyed his tiny home moreso now that he had someone to come back to. It was grating upon him, more than he'd like to admit. He had become lonely.

The Pirate always had a crew awaiting his return. Here in Sieben, there was no one to greet him when he came back from a daring mission. There was nobody to tell about his latest adventure. There was no one about to listen to him other than himself.

He had found himself a tiny plant that apparently fruited tiny shots of liquor. It was curious to him, though he realized he wasn't supposed to make sense of it. So he took a few drinks... to the point where he had a nice buzz.

The blonde recalled past events, and began to wonder if his crew missed him. Yet he as he returned to his tent, he recalled that there was someone there. Someone he had grown rather fond of. Johnny appreciated Blink's company greatly. She was a good friend, and someone to talk to.

Shaking his head, he decided to head back to the tent, in a stumbling manner. Perhaps the liquor was a bit stronger than he realized, or he had too much. One or the other. That aside... he was going back to the tent.

Blink continued to watch, the clouds drifting past in an undisturbed peace above, and lost track of the time passing. Her breathing had slowed to a very relaxed pace, despite the strange sadness that had gripped her. Her eyelids felt a little heavy, but her eyes... they tingled. Something behind them... something that wanted out... when she felt the pricking at the corners of her eyes, she took a deep breath, feeling the tears roll down her cheeks. She didn't sob, or weep, or anything; they simply fell silently, little drops of release from the elfen girl.

When she heard something outside, she rolled over, facing the door. Another breath, this time sharper, and she rubbed the tears out of her eyes and off her cheeks. Footsteps, coming in the direction of the tepee. She sat up slowly; after all, they didn't sound like those of something coming to attack. All the same, she reached for the quiver next to her pillow, grabbing one of the metal shards from the pouch.

"Mister Johnny? Is that you?"

His tent was somewhere along this way... he was quite certain of it. He gave a long and lazy yawn slowly walked to his tent. He lowered his shades, just to make certain he was in the right spot, and then he heard a voice. It was Blink, and Johnny was sure of himself that he made it to the right teepee.

"Ah~ It is in fact... yes, the one and only Johnny~" There was a slow and southern drawl within his words. He then entered and gave his tent-mate a wide grin.

Sighing happily, she laid the dart back down next to her bed, smiling up to Johnny. "I was starting to worry. I mean, I know you said you'd be back late tonight, but... I didn't know how late to expect you." She stood slowly, smoothing down her loincloth before stepping across to him, arms falling to her sides, outstretched.

"Find anything interesting?" She gave him a warm hug, a little chiding at herself for finding such a comforting presence in that smell of leather and... rum? "Smells like it." She gave him a slight chuckle. "Bring any to share?"

Johnny's own arms outstretched to embrace her in a friendly gesture of a hug. "Dinn't mean to worreh ya..." He took in a deep breath of air, and gave a long and satisfied sigh.

He smirked and lowered his shades on the bridge of his nose as he took a step away to look at her. Reaching into his coat pocket he did in fact produce a small flask. He had actually remembered to fill it with his find. "In all truth... y'could say I did bring... a small bit t'share~"

She watched his shades move down, revealing those reassuringly blue eyes that he kept hidden behind the darkness of his sunglasses. Sometimes, it was the little things like that, that took all the problems away. Little gestures, no matter how meaningless, were some of the most comforting things in the world. The little quirks in Johnny's body language fell into this zone.

"Oh?" She smiled a little more. "I think I might like to share some." Blink wasn't much for liquor normally, but at the same time, she understood why people drank when they felt like she did. She knew better than to get drunk; besides, with her mutant metabolism, it would be hard to get there anyway. Still, a little buzz might not hurt. Turning away from Johnny for a moment, she sat on the ground, cross-legged in between their bedrolls, smiling up to him.

Pushing the shades back upon his nose, he took a few heavy steps over to where she sat. Even in his current state, he managed to sit down in an ever so graceful manner, and seemed to flow as he did. Johnny sat across from her and smiled back. The flask was set out in front of the two of them.

"Please, ladies first~"

"Why, thank you." She chuckled at the gentlemanly gesture as she reached for the metal bottle, twisting at the cap as she brought it close to her lips. She caught the scent of sugared, spicy alcohol before taking a drink, the powerful liquid burning against her tongue. She swallowed, letting out a somewhat exaggerated breath as she handed the flask across.

"...That's actually kind of good." The corner of her lip twitched up. "Spicy."

Johnny took the flask back with a grin. "Ah, quite glad ya approve of it~ Mmnn..." He brought it up to his own lips... and took a quick swig. A heavy breath escaped him. The warmth grew in his body, and he felt rather light headed from drinking before hand.

"Been thinkin'... 'bout a few things..." There was that lazy grin still across his face, as he took off his hat and set it aside.

Blink canted her head to one side, a look of curiosity spreading over her face. She leaned back a little, planting her arms behind her for support, as she watched Johnny set his hat away. She smiled; she preferred him without the hat, personally. Clarice, did you just think that?!

"Oh? Like what, if I may pry?"

He sat there for a moment of so, thinking of what to say. Well, perhaps it was called liquid courage for a reason...

Johnny smirked and lowered his shades to look to Blink. "You can pry all you'd like~" He flashed a toothy grin before situating himself into a more comfortable position.

"I'd like to say... I'd like t'say that... am quite glad yer here... Really... I mean that.... yer a good person. Don't ever think less of yerself." The slur was a little more obvious. "Am not thinkin' that.... or saying that..... jes cause am drunk... I guess I jes never got around to tellin' you... an' am sorreh abou-that."

Her smile grew as he said that, her tail curling around her folded legs slowly. "Mister Johnny..." She laughed a little. "That's sweet of you to say." She sat forward again, reaching out and plucking the flask from his fingers. "You... I'm glad I have someone like you here with me, too..." She took another drink, feeling the alcohol warm her throat. She could see why people liked to indulge in things like this.

Her eyes looked sad for a moment as she handed the small bottle back. "I... sometimes feel really lonely, especially after things went crazy here... it reminded me of my team... my friends, wherever they are." She turned away, glancing to the Tallus sitting next to her quiver. She didn't know why, but for some reason, she had been able to remove it. She wasn't all that broken up about it, since it refused to be of any help anyway. She still put it on sometimes, to see if it had fixed itself... but to no avail.

"You keep me from feeling alone here, Mister Johnny. Thank you."

As the flask was returned to his hand, he idly thought of how to reply. His eyes seemed sleepy, when he himself was far from such a state. His eyes were quite visible with his shades further down upon his nose. They seemed almost sad and distant, even when his voice was upbeat.

"Y'should nev'r feel alone... really..." It was obvious he himself was trying to convince himself to believe in what he was saying. "Yer old friends will n'ver ferget ya... s'long as y'keep 'em in yer heart... after all, someday you'll see them again..."

He quickly pushed his shades further upon his nose to hide his eyes. His voice, his body language, would give one an impression of hope and joy. He seemed lively if anything else. It was his shades that hid his eyes, which gave away how he truly felt.
