"Well, the sooner we can get there the better!" Gintoki replied as he looked over his shoulder towards the other, a childish grin on his face. It had been quite sometime since he had a chance like this with Hijikata after all - they usually pretty much only ended up sleeping with each other rather than anything else. "Besides, its been awhile since we could go on a date again now~" When was the last time - March, wasn't it? And after that they had all been occupied by everything that had happened. So a chance like this was one that the freelancer was going to grab a hold of fast and well.

So quickly did the yorozuya went towards their destination, still dragging the unfortunate vice-commander with him, tail wagging and ears flicking in excitement especially when they reached the place about ten minutes later and then Gintoki let go of the other. And there it was, lo and behold; the onsen, just at where Yumichika had told him where it was.

Gintoki grinned as he saw the onsen before he started to look about the surrounding area in hopes of a towel tree. "First we need some towels..."

He had to admit. It was a welcome sight. Even in the middle of technicolor hell, he could spare a tiny shred of approval for such things.

"Tch." Hijikata dropped the bundle of things he'd been carrying under the arm that had remained unmolested, and rummaged through its contents, producing, eventually, two fluffy white towels, handing one over to Gintoki with a frown. "You're useless, you know that?"

Gintoki blinked as he looked at the towel Hijikata was handing over to him, back at the man and then at the towel again before accepting it with a sheepish grin. "Hijikata-kun is always so well prepared! Whatever will Gin-san do without him~" the freelancer went about in a sing-song voice as he draped the towel over his shoulders and went to begin undoing the belt that held his yukata in place.

"Well, you know about me now, Oogushi-kun - jack of all trades and master of none; that old saying, yanno," the natural perm added with another of his playful grins as he undid his belt and shrugged out of his yukata, and promptly started to take off his shirt. "Anyway, you better strip as well now; don't want to go into there with your clothes on after all~"

Hijikata remained stony faced. He had come to learn, through valuable experience, that there was nothing about all that enthusiasm from the silver haired man to be trusted. In fact it made him more suspicious, blowing smoke as he watched the other disrobe.

"Useless," he reiterated and reluctantly began to remove his own clothing.

The silver-haired man had to pout a little at that. "Oy oy, Oogushi-kun - don't keep going 'useless, useless' as if its true! I have you know that Gin-san is perfectly useful when people allow it!" He retorted childishly, dead fish eyes looking at the vice-commander for a bit before he blinked again as the other also began to undress.

Gintoki went to undo his pants, pausing only to wrap the towel around his hips before taking them off entirely and placing his clothes in a neat bundle at the edge of the onsen before turning to Hijikata. "Hurry up now, Hijikata-kun~ otherwise the water might turn cold!" He called out to the other, playful grin still on his face.
