thisWhere: Well, the onsen! Where else could they be?

Well, it had been a while since the man had a chance to relax like this. What with the time he had to take to heal up his latest injuries from battling against Shinji's hollow and then the whole thing with the puppies, Gintoki was kind of glad that he'd managed to get Hijikata to come along with him to try out the onsen he'd heard from Yumichika. Apparently it had already been there for sometime... but what with all that had happened, the freelancer never really noticed until the shinigami mentioned it.
At that thought, the yorozuya had to chuckle to himself a little as he recalled what had happened the last time he ended up in an onsen (okay, so it was more of a sauna...) with Hijikata. They ended up trying to compete each other to see who would last longer in that place, and somehow winded up in the station on charges of assaulting people. Fortunately, since Hijikata was the vice-commander of the Shinsengumi, both him and the officer were let off after an explanation. After that, he made sure to avoid going there for quite some time.
It was strange to think of that incident to have happened only months for Hijikata and for Gintoki, long over a year ago. Time really was questionable in a place like this... the man had to wonder just what the Hibou were thinking when they brought him so far off from the time line of everyone else. It was odd... very odd, really. Even now, the information was still a little hard to digest.
Whatever the case, all that really mattered now was to enjoy himself. So Gintoki sighed as he leaned back on the tree he was standing beside at the edge of the forest, near the river where the onsen was, at the scheduled spot where he was supposed to meet up with Hijikata. The sun was already beginning to set, casting the world into a multitude of dark, musty colors along with the scorching glazes of orange and red and yellow.
