First night at work and such....
So lastnight was my first night serving on my own at Ruby Tuesdays...it was a 5:30 - close (11pm) shift. I made more money than the other closing server, but just because I lucked out and got 2 parties of 6, a party of 3 that left 10 bucks, and another party of 3 that left a decent tip. I think all but 1 of my tables got alcohol. My 1st three all got wine, then i had a few mixed drinks and some beer. I didn't mess up any orders, woohoo!!! :) Betsy and Steve came to visit me, but only ordered H20, and a loaded baked potato, but because of a mistake in my knowledge of the computer system, they got the loaded french fries. Whoops! my shift was winding down and there wasn't anything to do, except wait for my last table to leave (which stayed for 1 hr and 45 minutes). I started talking to this one guy that works there, who bitches a lot, but he seems pretty nice. He was telling me about his boyfriend, and asked me who I hang out with, and if i know different people. blah blah. I get to close with him on saturday night, should be interesting, since it'll probably be busy, we close at midnight, and it'll only be my 3rd shift working on my own.
So i was sitting up at the front of the store and looked out at my car. i noticed that there was something on the windshield, and was kinda confused. Finally I got out at 11 and went to my car. There was a rose with a not attaced to it....saying:
"Ich habe dich seit eine Woche kennen, aber sie ist die beste Woche von meinem Leben gewesen. Ich konnte an deinen Geschichten ein Tausend mal hoeren. Ich konnte deinen Laecheln jeden Tag sehen und bin nie langweilig. Wirst du mit mir ausgehen?"
Needless to say, for those of you who understand this, I was quite happy. So I called the awesome guy who left the note, and gave him an answer to the question. :) So yeah, it was a good night!!!
Now I gotta study for my last German 208W exam!!
