Whiskey is the best medicine - revised
Day two of sickness. I have a feeling I won't be much better tomorrow but I'll have to buck up and go back to work anyway. I'm thinking I should try the whiskey and diet coke remedy. Nothing helps a chest cold like whiskey. My dad used to make me hot toddys when I was sick as a kid. If I were living at home my mom would also suggest Vick's Vapor Rub on the chest. She's so old world. She gets it from my grandma who really is old world and always thinks she has a cold (catching a draft, as she says), even in the summer. To combat it, she breaks out the flannel, neck high night gowns and Vick's Vapor Rub. She also always wears holy medals pinned to her undershirt. I love her.
