My friend, Taylor, is running for State Representative for House District 35B. She is leading a food drive in the Savage & Jordan areas. I have included her letter regarding this. (My fault for the short notice.) October 7 will see people spreading out and putting things with the information on peoples doors (no knocking, not politically oriented literature). The 14th will see people going back to pick up whatever it is that has been donated. If you are interested in volunteering please contact Taylor. I will be doing it and depending on weather will have one or both kids with me. The idea is that this will be only a couple of hours of time, depending on the number of volunteers.

Dear Friends,
Thank you so much for your continued support of my campaign. Because of you I am happy to report that I have great news. As many of you may know, I live in a strongly republican district, and as such, I did not expect to see great numbers in the primary. However, once the results were in, I was only one vote behind the incumbent after adding in the 200 plus votes received by his challenger in the primary.
This means that my chances for winning are now a reality and for this reason I am devoting the next five weeks to closing the gap and making this a true race for the House. I believe that people are ready for a change, for an end to negative campaigning, and for a candidate with heart. The food drive I have planned will deliver those things, but only if I can gather enough volunteers to help me reach my target goal of 7,000 homes in my district.
I urge you to please donate an hour or two of your time and join with me in this event. People need to feel hope and to feel like we have a government that cares about them. We can show them that with this food drive and make history in the process.
Please join with me and bring as many friends and relatives as you can gather to make a difference in my community and in election history.
When: 10:00 a.m. on October 7th and 14th
Where: Savage Community Park in Savage
Together we can make a difference.
