Cacaphony (Chapter 4/?)
Kirishima sat on the bed in Club Sion's guest room, his back against the headboard, fighting back tears.
"I'm too tired to think right now, and there's someone who might want to kill me in my flat. Worse yet, someone has been following my every move when I haven't been with Asami-sama. Damn it, I just can't sleep!"
His tirade was stopped by a tentative knock on the door, then his friend, Suoh, called out to him.
"Kei-san, you have a visitor. He wanted to see you before his interview with Asami-sama. May we come in?"
Heaving a huge sigh, Kirishima called out, "Come in."
A large blond entered first, followed closely by a much taller dark-haired man. Kirishima's eyes lit up.ecstatic that it was his neighbor, Sugihara Yuudai.
"Suoh-san! Sugihara-san!" He looked around frantically, trying to find a seat big enough for his neighbor.
"Kirishima-san, I'll sit on the floor. I've done so plenty of times. Hell, I have to do so whenever I visit family, and they should know that I require specially built furniture."
"Asami-sama wants to interview Sugihara-san asap. It seems that a couple of the bartenders had to be let go, so there's an immediate opening if he passes muster." Suoh left the reasons unsaid in front of the prospective employee as well as the ramifications of crossing their boss/friend.
"If they're the ones I'm thinking of, they deserved it," Kirishima replied, grateful for the distraction from his current situation.
Sugihara carefully sat down on the floor by the bespectacled secretary, oblivious to the undertones of the others' conversation. The three men talked about general things until a quiet knock on the door interrupted.
"Kei-san, are you still awake?" an authoritative voice asked.
"Yes, Asami-sama," Kirishima replied as Suoh turned to open the door for the club's owner.
Asami entered just as Sugihara rose from the floor. The shorter man slowly looked up at the giant, his face remaining stoic while his thoughts were racing. When Suoh said he was tall, I didn't believe him. My god!
