Dear Fandom Growth Exchange Author...
First, thank you for offering to create something for me and one of my very rare ships or fandoms for this exchange. I’m really excited to see what you will come up with, no matter which fandom/character/ship you may choose. I’ll get right to it with my general likes/DNWs and then try to include a few prompts for each request.
General Likes:

Law & Order SVU
I have a ton of rare/nonexistent ships I’d love to see some fic for in this universe! SVU is my main fandom these days, I’ve watched all 18 seasons to date, though I will say I am more a fan of the earlier “1.0” version of the show than from Seasons 13 onward. (That doesn’t mean I don’t like some of the characters introduced in the later seasons, however!)
Nick Amaro/John Munch - Munch and Amaro’s friendship is probably my favorite thing to come out of the “2.0 years” of SVU. I love how John so quickly took Nick under his wing and became rather like a father figure/mentoring uncle to him. And at the same time, holy crap, I would love some dirty/bad/wrong daddy!kink fic for them. So I can see this as a ship where both have a lot of conflicted feelings about their attraction for each other, but they simply can’t deny it’s there. Office sex would be glorious - it’s a late night at the precinct with only Munch and Amaro still at work… Or perhaps something happens after Nick leaves the police force and moves to California. John takes a trip to visit him, see how he’s adjusting to the change, and with no longer working together things have a chance to happen…
Monique Jefferies/John Munch - There has to be some backstory as to why those two seem to hate each other so much right from the start of season 1-and I can’t help but wonder if it’s because they had a brief fling (or even just one night stand) that went horribly wrong. But maybe in a funny/embarrassing way that they both wish they could forget (and maybe there’s still a lingering attraction there which is what gets under their respective skins so much)? Otherwise, a story where they get together after Monique gets put on desk duty/is transferred out of SVU. She’s hurt and angry, John wants to make sure she’s okay, now that they’re no longer partners things come to a head that were otherwise suppressed. Also, any follow-up/missing scenes related to the episode “Remorse”, as that’s where I feel we see Monique & John actually starting to work together better, and caring about each other physically and emotionally.
Alexandra Cabot/John Munch - Alex is a character we really never learn a great deal about, as far as her personal life is concerned…so what might captivate her interest in regards to Munch? (I mean, we certainly know John has a thing for blondes, going back to HLOTS, but I think he would be intrigued by her intelligence and passion for the job as well). I’d enjoy an AU take on the episode “Loss” where John & Alex are in an established (if secret?) relationship at the time of her shooting…how would he cope with believing she was dead? What if she came to him at the end, instead of to Elliot & Olivia, to let someone know she was in fact alive and going into WitSec? Would their relationship survive those years of separation?
Alternatively, if you want to go a smutty PWP type direction, I’d have no objection to that whatsoever. I definitely see John as very kink-positive and that they might have a sexual relationship because they are able to give each other something they both really crave. (I'd be all in favor of some daddy!kink here, or alternatively femmedom. Yes, please.)
John Munch/Amy Solwey - I loved their relationship so much in the episodes “Painless” and especially “Parts”, where it was clear John would risk so much to try to save her life. Here, finally, is a woman in John’s life who seems to match and challenge him intellectually the way he really needs, and yet whatever time or relationship they might have is severely limited by her illness. I’d really dig an epistolary-style story for them, keeping in touch through letters while she was serving her jail-time or afterwards when she was released. Some kind of resolution to their story, please!
Olivia Benson/Brian Cassidy/John Munch - This is a bit of a cracky request, I admit, but I’d be curious to see how anyone could make it work. Especially going back to Season 1, I can see a lot of love triangle aspects playing out in a messy way-what if Brian and John were in a relationship, but Brian was freaking out a bit about being attracted to a guy. That’s why he ends up hooking up with Olivia and getting rather obsessed about her even when she then blows him off. And I can see John carrying a bit of a torch for Olivia as well…maybe he’s the one who tries to work things out and it ends up in a happy, if complicated, threesome?
Mike Dodds/Amanda Rollins - The possibilities for this ship intrigue me. I see both Mike and Amanda as people struggling with issues of self-worth and confidence, largely due to their respective family dramas and pressures. I could see them bonding over that, and Mike’s quiet calmness being a good influence on Amanda, something to help ground and steady her. He stands up for her and I’d definitely love some hurt/comfort leading to revelation of feelings.
Alejandro Pavel/Kwasi "Ken" Randall - Something to expand upon their relationship as we were introduced to in “Learning Curve”, please! A story about how they first met would be sweet, or some h/c as Ken helps Alejandro recover, emotionally and physically, from his rape and assault. I’d like to see how they navigated the effects of that to actually getting married, and then deciding to have a child (this is one ship I’m ok with kidfic, since I hate how the show has so far blown off any follow-up on their plans to have a baby with a surrogate.) Anything that gives us more of the story of their relationship, I would love.
Dominick "Sonny" Carisi Jr./Mike Dodds - AU where Mike lives, please? The fall-out when Mike’s father finds out about their relationship, during the uncertain days Mike is in the hospital after the shooting.
Homicide: Life on the Street
Kay Howard/John Munch (HLOTS) - Gah, anything with these two, seriously…I ship them so hard throughout the show, especially in seasons 3 and 4. The way they tease each other and yet there’s an underlying respect and support that is always lurking beneath the surface. To me Kay is the type of woman that John would need to challenge him on his bullshit at times, but he also knows how to get her to laugh, relax, and have a little fun. So anything between them would be great-maybe she keeps coming to the Waterfront after she’s transferred out to Warrants, they keep talking, things develop romantically once they are no longer working day-to-day together? Otherwise I’m always keen on future fics where, after John moves to New York, something brings them back together and they finally realize/act on feelings for each other.
Frank Pembleton/Mary Pembleton/Tim Bayliss - The tricky thing with me and Homicide is, as much as I love Frank/Tim and how much subtext just exploded on screen between them, I adore Frank’s marriage to Mary as well-including their realistic struggles to stay together. So I have long wondered if they couldn’t make for an interesting OT3 together. I’d love to read how that might come about. Alternatively, I’d enjoy reading them as an established OT3. Maybe something when Tim is shot, how Frank and Mary provide comfort for each other as well as to Tim during his recovery? Really, anything that shows this as a supportive/working/happy threesome would make my heart happy.
Julianna Cox/Mike Kellerman/John Munch - Here I really kind of do just want some dirty dirty porn. It’s a late night at the Waterfront. John just wants to shut the bar down and go home, but Mike and Julianna are lingering, drunk, all hands-y with each other and making out…maybe John makes an ultimatum that if they don’t take it home then they have to either let him watch or join in the fun (I’d be happy with either/both!)

My beloved, doomed show! Chicago Justice so perfectly satisfied my craving for old school style Law & Order that I am still mourning its early demise. We were just beginning to learn about these characters and their stories when it was cancelled. So really, anything that expands upon their backstories, future, etc. within the DA’s office would be great.
I do have one specific DNW for this fandom: please no background shipping between canon characters. I loved this show but I was not into and didn’t pick up any “shippy” feels between the show’s characters. I’d really prefer a strictly gen fic here, or if there is any shipping that it involve original characters.
I loved Peter’s mentorship of Anna. I loved Antonio & Laura as partners trying to figure each other out. I loved how very different Anna and Laura were as two very strong, fascinating women but with very different goals and ideas about life. I loved how Peter and Mark would debate cases and approaches, not always on the same page, and how fatherly Mark could be toward Peter. I loved Peter and Antonio as two people experienced and talented in their fields, and learning what they could expect from each other. So give me more of any of the above, around a case, while doing something uniquely Chicago…
Additionally, as a fan of old school Law & Order, I would love something involving Peter’s relationship with his father, Ben Stone. I got the sense there was some tension/underlying issues between them, despite ending up in the same line of work. What could they be? And how might one of Peter’s co-workers/friends help?

Jack McCoy & Claire Kincaid & Adam Schiff
I know I’m being boring here with this prompt, but casefic? I really would just love a story that captured their working relationship as we saw it on the show. Or, alternatively, something set once Jack becomes DA himself. Maybe a current case brings back memories of the past, working with Claire and Adam, and he thinks about the things he misses, the ways he’s changed since then, etc.
General Likes:
- Casefic, stories that capture at least some of that feel of the original source canon.
- Missing scenes, provided they are more than just regurgitating the events of a tv episode or movie. I like them when they really show us more about what may have motivated characters actions, or what happened next, especially if it was something emotional for one of the characters yet not necessarily ever followed up on, on screen.
- Romance and relationships through the years: couples growing old together, reflections on how time changes people and their views on what they want from life and what love/romance means to them.
- Hurt/comfort (especially emotional h/c) - as long as there is lots of comforting and it’s not just a whump!fic.
- For smutty fic: sexy fun that isn’t all about penetration. I love frot, oral sex, 69, extended kissing scenes, characters so turned on by each other that they can hardly last beyond some sensual touching, erotic massage, etc.
- Couples that are happy and clearly complete without kids
- Age gap ships
- Canon-divergent AUs: looking at how things might have happened differently if just one critical thing changed (someone didn’t die/retire/transfer in or out; characters meeting under different circumstances; someone ending up in trouble with the law instead of perhaps getting away with a serious crime.)
- I’m ok with any rating fic, gen to explicit smut.
General Do Not Wants:
- HARD DNW: Pregnancy/kidfic. Please, nothing that suggests or promotes the idea that a person/couple can’t truly be happy and fulfilled until or unless they have children.
- Public humiliation/embarrassment.
- BDSM beyond the playful use of restraints, sensory denial, or spanking.
- Other kink-related DNWs: bloodplay, watersports, scat, sounding.
- Main character death (unless canon), permanent injury/mutilation.
- Unrequested AUs (high school, coffee shop, mundane, etc.)
