(no subject)
a long freaking weekend...had Jared and Geri over friday night and hung out in the hot tub. we hadn't seen them in a few weeks so it was good to hang out. Had some good conversations and stuff...Saturday Megs and Grandma Carol went down to the Penrose State park and I went to one of my CEU classes for work. I took Basic Electrical Estimating. It was really informative and I am going to try to use it in the real world as much as I can.
It was a lot of fun hanging out with everyone at Penrose after my class. I went out with Morgan, tomae and travis and pulled up the last of the crab pots. we got a pretty good catch. Dinner was AMAZING. And no, we didn't have any crab. BUt we did have roast, ribs, cesaer salad, pasta salad, corn on the cob, "cowboy" beans and a apple-blackberry cobbler cooked in one of the dutch ovens. I'v never stayed at Penrose camping before (just a ton of day trips when I was a kid), but it was a great camp ground and its not too far from home (maybe an hour at most). Normally, you might find that too close to home but its far out enough not to feel too fake of camping.
Today was just so tiring. Between the drive home, the rain and the ongoing remodel in our kitchen I am just kinda wore out (mentally and physically). i can't wait to get back home even if it is torn apart a bit. Hopefully not too much longer.
