(no subject)
just got back from seeing olly knight, he did a free unplugged set at our uni tonight.
highlights:
- when he sang volcano by damien rice
- his fantastic acoustic hybrid of "lets get it started" and "breathe"
- the front of the stage being covered with loads of little tea light candles
- the fact we got party bags on our way out. they included lollypops, glitter glue, stickers, balloons. good stuff :)
anyway, the people i went with left after about half an hour so i was by myself for most of the thing but i liked it like that *recluse*
hitchike this weekend was fun
highlights from that:
-getting picked up by a guy driving the most beatiful car i've ever been in. i dont know anything about cars but it was a really good one with an amazing sound system and black leather interior
-crazy couple in a camper van that drove us in a straight line up the north of wales instead of across so we ended up being just as far away as where we were trying to get to.
-making friends with an irish man that owned a thingy for truck drivers to get food from (tom it made me think of you and our anti social night when we went to rebels diner) who gave me free cups of tea while we failed drastically to get a lift from the layby.
-meeting max, who picked us up in telford, bought us lunch and ended up driving us about 90 miles up the motorway to wales (to be fair it didnt take him very long as he claims he sees speed limits as a minimum speed not a maximum...) he was cool and 19 and had good mixtapes in his car, so i might hang out with him cuz he lives pretty close to coventry.
-getting to go to dublin, and stay in a youth hostel and the fact that it is such a fuckin' cool city <3
i was surprised, really didnt think anyone would stop for hitchikers. but they did. kinda disappointed i didnt get picked up by a truck driver, cuz i wanted to. and my partner was straaaange but whatever, i only really had to spend friday with him cuz on sunday we found a guy on the ferry who was driving all the way back to birmingham and he gave 4 of us a lift. i was so close to not going, i was scared cuz i didnt know anyone that was doing it, but im glad i went.
i miss kieran.

oh also, ive lost my phone (*hits self on head*) which means i have no alarm to wake me up in the mornin'. so if i dont text back/answer your calls then that'd be why.
