A friend (who can identify themselves if they wish) asked that I leverage my flist's collective wisdom for a python question:If I were going to port a bunch of my existing perl database code to python, which toolkit(s) should I use?

Alas, I must agree with this Stack Overflow response -- it's better for many reasons to just rewrite it in Python.

Define toolkit? I mean, only perl can parse Perl, and fully automated code porting Doesn't Work, so... the goal is what, regex translators?

I think you have misunderstood the question, which I take to be, "there are various python toolkits for interoperating with dbs, which should I use?"
