[couture] Free to good home: women's wool clothes size "8"

Oct 07, 2009 22:24

I am emotionally coming to terms with the facts that I will probably neither never fit again in these clothes nor have occasion to try to. I have some old and somewhat worn but somewhat splufty business-formal clothing that fit me when I was a "size 8". I gather maybe sizing has changed since then? I don't know if a size 8 is still a size 8, but regardless, I haven't been any sort of size 8 in a long time.

Items include:
1) a blazer, very elegant tailored/fitted wool-polyester, charcoal grey;
2) a skirt, gathered to the waist, calf-length wool (other fibers unknown), in a fine complex check-tweed, the over-all impression from more than a foot away from is a charcoal grey (matching the blazer, even), two pockets, fully lined with satin;
3) slacks, light grey, light-weight wool-poly blend, heavy on the poly, machine wash/dry; two pockets; from zipper fly and buttons closure; high/broad waisted with loops for a wide/dramatic belt. (No belt included).

I think all these items are fabulous and will miss them. I'd be happy to see them go to friends.

I also have some other contemporaneous items fitting the same size person, which are really too ratty to trouble give to friends, but if you wanted to rummage them while picking up the above, you're certainly welcome to snag any of them before I send them to Goodwill.

I would prefer not to ship, and the items live with me in North Cambridge.
