Veterinarians,
The folks I am staying with have a cat who has an infection, and the veterinarian suggested that the infectious agent may be in the cat's recirculating water fountain.
I have this here bottle of B-T-F iodophor sanitizer (active ingredient: butoxy polypropoxy polyethoxy ethanol-iodine complex) which I'm quite familiar with using for sanitizing human-food equipment.
Can we/should we use it on the cat's fountain? Is it safe for the cats?
(I've already googled this, and signs point to yes, but I wanted to hear from pros who would know if there's anything cat-specific I should know about using this product.)
bio,
