[admin] Siderea Availability Orientation

Welcome new readers! FYI, I'm not typically on the internet much on Tuesday and Wednesdays, because they're my long days at the clinics I work for.

As a therapist my job is to sit and talk with people. To translate that into white-collar tech-worker middle-class-ese: to be in meetings. Since a clinic only gets paid, and consequently I only get paid, when I am in a meeting, my clinics try to book my days as tightly with meetings as they can. So my work day consists of being in meetings all the time. The kind of meeting where, no, you can't bring your laptop and discretely check your email.

At least, it is if it's going well. Today is not going well: all my early meetings patients canceled (*le sigh*), so I won't be going in to the clinic until quite late, and I'm still home and able to write this. (Yay?)

Even when I find myself with disposable time at a clinic, I prefer not to log into LJ from the web browsers on computers at the clinics I work for, for what I hope are obvious reasons.

Often I am too tired after a long day at a clinic to do much wording or even thinking, so correspondence gets postponed. If something involves making a decision or having to explain anything, it likely will get put off till later in the week.

So: don't expect to see me much between Monday midnight and Thursday noon.
