I was just pointed at
Source Code in TV and Films, a tumblr of screenshots of source code appearing in popular entertainment, and, where possible, identifying the source code. (h/t metafilter)
Many of the examples are deliciously absurd, e.g. "In the TV series Revolution (series 1, episode 6) some of the source code of the Apple II version of Prince of Persia is shown."
But then there's the sublime.
Turns out that a LISPy screen-shot lovingly drawn into renown anime series Serial Experiments Lain is from the source of Conway's Game of Life. That them there's an easter egg.
