-Some days, there is nothing left to do but shop for shoes : )
-I have had the Venetian gown pretty close to finished for months now, but have been wracking my brain as to what to use for the lacing strips. In order to get the ladder lacing to stay straight, many seamstresses have used two rows of strips down the inside of the bodice edges, so that the laces are better anchored in straight horizontal position. I had almost relegated my bias tape to the job when I realized, duh! I can weave them. *faceplant* So, broken finger and all, I wraped the loom again and wove a 3/4 inch band to use for the lacing. Once I get that attached, I can fit it and sew the shoulders and the hem. Then all I need to do is finish quilting the cutwork sleeves.
-This weekend, I am making a gown for Max for the Snow Ball. She wants this one: (*squee!* My punk goth asked for a girlie dress. In lavender, no less!!)
