canada day
hey
what's up vicki?
- woke up at 8am (since I started working.... I'm cursed to waking up early)
- called everyone and a ridiculously early time, to hear groggy voices on the line saying the person I was calling was asleep.
- grampy came to my house -- there was an article in eye magazine about little Malta in Toronto so we discussed it. He was telling me about his life in Toronto in the '50s.
- went to practice. worked on 2 new songs.
- mike's nunna (granny) had a hip replacement surgery. So we went to the hospital, she was in a lot of pain. I wished that I could give her something to make her feel better. The way the room was set up reminded me of les invasions barbare. It made me worried about the decline of health care in Canada
- i realized i didnt eat anything === went to lone star for veggie fajitas
- went to maple... and fell asleep (missed all festivities)... as mike would say... i'm a sleepy pants (probably because i was awake early)
- when mike was driving me home.. i caught the tail end of the canada's wonderland fireworks...
at home typing and listening to sufjan stevens. he writes the most beautiful music. tomorrow were on the hunt for cool paper for the proeliis fere dvd. i'm going to get smog tickets...
i'm in the process of buying a house.... it's so nice to find out we have found a nice home. You never realize how much is involved until it actually happens. wish me and mike luck..we'll need it.
