Day from Hell
Yesterday was HELL. I had something called a barium throat swallow test, (leave it) at 10 am at Memorial. 20 minutes to register, 45 minutes to be called for the x-ray / Fluoroscope. First I had to put a bunch of Alka-Seltzer crystal in my mouth and them take a sip of water and swallow. I was told try not to burp. They then gave me this think white chalky Barium mixture. Gross stuff. like heavy oily doughnuts sitting in the bottom of your gut. He said take a mouth full, and on 3 swallow. I did this 8 - 9 times standing, then they checked for reflex, so 4 more times on my back, then 2 times on each side. Luckily the X-Ray table reclined, but it was hard as a rock. They showed me the animation, pretty cool, There is defiantly a narrowing just below my Adam's apple. I will find out what they want to do next week. The Tech said probably a laparoscope down the throat and then inflate a bladder and stretch the area. I heard this only last a while like a year.
The female tech was very kind, She burn me a copy of the animation to a CD. I have not watched it yet. Well upon leaving I was told to be aware of the next few bowel movements and to stay very hydrated. If not the barium turn almost solid and causes problems. Luckily I have had 6 BM's over the last 12 hours. Bush's Chili helped, lol. It is the grossest felling, like white play dough and each time having the sick to the stomach and pre dry heave try feeling. I think I am out of the woods now.
Then had to do a food shop, empty cupboards. Then at 3pm took the girls and me to the dentist. Now due to the prosthetic I have to take an antibiotic Baixin 1 hour before appointment. I protect again infection. But the pill is so big I have to break it apart. IT TASTED EVEN WORSE THAN THE Barium. Now my belly is flippidy and floppid all over the place. And it also gives me jock itch.
No cavities Alys & me, cavity Kass in the permanent tooth. Filling that will be fun, not.
Then ran to Rockies Ace for orange spray paint, ran out
Then dropped Kass her home. then go home to get Alyssa ready for B-Ball practice for 6pm then pick her up after a 7:30.
