Ares relaxed in his throne, waiting for any visitors who wanted to talk to him.

He hoped they'd be hot. If he had to deal with mortals he preferred dealing with attractive ones.

Since he'd met Lee's other teacher the previous day, Adama now found himself at the door of this Ares character. He already wasn't impressed.

"Are you Ares?" Adama demanded gruffly.

Ares looked up. Unattractive parent, woe.

"That's what most of my worshippers keep calling me."

And the dislike went even further.

"Then, I'm going to call you something else," Adama said. "Boy."

There'd been indifference in Ares' tone before, but now there was disdain too. "Only people who were present for the creation of the universe get to call me that. So...nobody."

Adama's lips thinned.

"Professor, then," Adama said, compromising. "What do you teach?"

"Currently? Fashion."

[daddy_adama]

"My son is in your class," he said, barely held reproach about that fact in his voice. "Lee Adama."

"He's my TA," Ares replied, smiling as he thought about Lee's arms.

"Which means what exactly?" Adama demanded.

[sideburnsofwar]

"That he's my assistant. Hence the term, teacher's assistant."

"I'm unfamiliar with that term," Adama explained. "They're not needed on Caprica. Why is he taking a class like fashion anyway? It's not needed."

"I'm not the one who signed your son up for the class," Ares replied. "You'll have to take it up with him."

"You believe knowledge of fashion is important?"

[sideburnsofwar]

"I do."

[daddy_adama]

"How so?"

[sideburnsofwar]

"You really think soldiers would follow a leader who doesn't at least look competent enough to dress himself?"
