Successes and Disappointments

I now have 10M, 6M, 2M, and 70CM in the car... Super successful installation, there, thanks to a friend who decided I needed a Giftmas present.
He also sent me a power supply to run the old HF rig in the house...
Unfortunately, both HF rigs I have are dead. Probably a good thing, because if they had powered up and/or worked, I'd want to be out in this snowstorm trying to get some wire in the trees so I could work the HF Christmas nets... Probably not the best idea for my back.
So, I'm happy I've got mobile communications in the car, but I'm disappointed that I don't have HF in the house.
On the balance, I'm happy I've got this far, and thankful for a friend who is willing to share his affluence.
