I received a bit of pleasant news yesterday. My former employer
Cenzic Inc. Have decided to contract my services once again, this time for a few months, and at and increased salary. Needless to say, this news could not have come at a better time. I start tomorrow, and once again, i'll be making the commute down to Campbell daily. Luckily, motorcycles are known for cutting through traffic like OJ through... well, lets not go there...
I also went to Brothers with the
The Yak crew and enjoyed a night of nummy korean food and conversation. Strick is back in town till
DefCon. Unfortunately it seems like Defcon will be rather expensive this year, with rumors of costs of $100 for badges. Its been discussed that we that are a select few Yak (and
#temp people, may not attend the conference per se, however attend the location at which the conference is being held. This however may prove to be troublesome because it has been reported that it is being required that anyone at the hotel during the con will need to have a badge. I think we should get off our arses and get tempcon happening.
My wrists are getting sore more often, more quickly these days. Thats not too good, i must say. I've been doing a bit more typing than usual, with the ebaying i've been doing, in addition to my journal, not to mention AIM,IRC, and MSN messenger. That reminds me, i think the band went to france without me. That would explain why i havn't heard from them... Anyways, i hope i'm not getting RSI. My mom had/has it and it sucks. for a while, she couldn't use her hands very much , because the nerves were so fucked up that her hands were almost completely numb. Mine havn't gotten that bad yet, and hopefully they won't. I do to many things with my hands to not be able to use them. I swear, my hands are my livelyhood. Computers, music, electronics, driving, riding motorcycles, *ahem* something else, video games, and the list goes on and on. I think i should start taking better care of my hands/wrists. First off, i need alex to give my that keyboard i want, second, i need a stool for my synth, third... well i can't think of a third, however i'msure....holy shit there goes a huge spider! its like the size of cellar spider (mistakenly refered to as a daddy long legs) but a regular spider. heh.. my dad would freak if he saw that. I mean, i don't like spiders crawling all over me, but they've never done anything to make me deathly afraid of them. Hell, i even had a pet black widow until it died the next day. Anyways, so yea, i need to be nice to my wrists.
I think i missed my reg date for school by two weeks or so. i'm fucked next semester, i think. Perhaps i can shmooz some teachers into letting me into their classes. Plus, my reg date should help getting me to the top of waiting lists. i was planning on seriously starting my path towards getting into SJSU/CalPoly/UOP, however my fuckup with my class enrollment may hinder that some. If nothing else, i'll take some GE classes, as those seem to be a dime a dozen.
OOh! i also finished my state mandated rider-safety motorcycle course, so i should be recieving my cert by the end of the week, and should have(in my possesion) my licence within about 3 weeks. Yay! Then i'll be able to get my arse outta the city, finally. I've been yearning to free myself from the opression of the city streets since i got my bike, and now i'll soon have the chance. Mt. Tam here i come! w00t! On another note, i finally got back into RPGs again. It hasn't been since the days of 14.4Kbps modems being blazing fast that i played a RPG. Yup, anyone that remembers the days of BBS's, i used to play Legend of the Red Dragon every day after school on my Atari, using my US robotics 14.4 modem to dial into swizzlestick to play. I got pretty damn far in the game, and then all of a sudden, swizzlestick decided to move to some other state. needless to say, i was distrought to the point of vowing to never play another RPG (ok, thats not true, i just never found another one that i liked enough.) Well, times have changed, i got an XBOX, and the other night, i rented "elderscrolls 3:Morrowind" from blockbuster. I've been playing it almost non-stop since then. Its kinda frusterating though. My main character is a theif, and i can't progress though the ranks of the Theives guild until i pickpocket this one guy, and its damn near impossible. I guess i'll go on robbing houses and stores and buying stats, but thats sorta lame. i want to so cooler stuff...
anyways, i'm supposed to be either ebaying stuff or cleaning my house. i suppose i should go.
