R.I.P. John Madden
In another life I was a huge NFL fan. This was before the internet. VCRs were still new. John Madden was on CBS and you knew it was a good game if he was calling it. When video games got more sophisticated the game, the only game, was Madden. (And the hail mary.) On Sega Saturn. How many how's I spent smoking dope and playing? No idea. And when Madden stopped calling games, that was about the time I stopped watching the NFL. Not just because of that, but when he left, so did something else...
