This Afternoon's Film: Battles Without Honor and Humanity
Been looking for an affordable copy of this for a while. Boxsets can go for A LOT. First in the Battles Without Honor and Humanity, or The Yakuza Papers as it is known in the U.S., the first film in the Japanese yakuza film series. Byzantine plot, but really well done. (Arrow Films is having a sale this month, all films $2.99! Can't beat that deal! I picked up some Seijun Suzuki Nikkatsu films too.) Part 2 of the series has Sonny Chiba in it! Might pick that one up tomorrow.
