Today's Films
Been reading Isak Dinesen, and was rereading Pauline Kael's, "Raising Kane," so I guess I was drawn to The Immortal Story. (Wish I could find some of Herman Mankiewicz writing.)
I was flipping the other night and found My Darling Clementine on. The Shakespeare bar scene. This might be my favorite Ford film. So good. I've seen it a bunch of times. I have the Criterion edition with the "prerelease version." I watched that one today.
The Revenant came in the mail, via Netflix. Brutal film. Technical masterpiece.
