Again, didn't sleep well. Better, but, still not well. Got up, made a pot of coffee, and finished Far Cry 3. For a free game, it was pretty good.
Then I went for a ride. I went to Binny's (liquor store). The first time since...February? I was looking for my favorite wine. They had none. I looked for whiskey. They had some, but the selection was way down and the prices were way up. I believe for the first time in my life I left a liquor store without buying anything. I felt slightly ashamed. I rode through neighborhood I used to live in. Most of the shops were closed. For good. Everyone I saw looked afraid or whipped. There were too many people along the lake. All with their new bikes. In a few weeks, when it turns cold, and that wind cuts you in half, they'll find something else to do. I can have it to myself again. I rode far enough north to find a decent spot.
Made chili and cornbread muffins with cheese for dinner.
The weather today was almost perfect. No humidity at all. It's all going to change again in a few days. Heat index by Sunday should be back around 103. But for today...
