"suppose nothing else were "given" as real except our world of desires and passions, and we could not get down or up, to any other "reality" besides the reality of our desires- for thinking is merely a relation of these drives to each other" -nietzsche (i know he's a kook, but i love that old goose regardless)

the thing is, the mind squirms at the unknown, so it takes comfort in creating a "future" so that the worry about the variable(the real series of events upcoming) may be temporarily laid to rest. whether that "future"(karma and reincarnation versus heaven or hell or mormon planets, etc) is popular by the masses or not, no one will ever know whether the destruction of religion is the cure to the mind's restlessness or "oppression"- since knowledge is only interpretation and/or passionate belief.

RELATIVISM!!!

haha.

p.s. forgive my lack of ability to articulate something and have it make sense, i'm quite rusty on such topics, seeing as my brain doesn't get much exercise of the sort very often, however i am excited to hopefully get to discussing all sorts of things soon :]
