Matt knows everything about Jeremiah. Matt thinks that he may even know more about Jeremiah than Jeremiah does himself. Matt knows Jeremiah's birthday, his astrological sign, his favourite colour, his shoe size, and his entire family tree. Matt also knows all the foods Jeremiah is allergic to, the things he is afraid of, and the songs that he likes to sing along to.
Over the years, Matt has picked up on all of Jeremiah's quirks and habits. Matt knows that Jeremiah likes his peanut butter creamy and that he always cuts the crust off his sandwiches. Matt knows that Jeremiah is an auditive learner. He knows that Jeremiah can listen to a song once and sing it back perfectly. Matt knows that Jeremiah always brushes his teeth after dinner and that he wears a retainer to bed at night. Matt knows that Jeremiah can multiply two digit numbers together in his head (but how he does this, Matt will never understand). Matt knows which television shows that Jeremiah cannot miss and which shows that Jeremiah will probably tape for later. Matt knows that Jeremiah hates all team sports but that he enjoys bowling. Matt knows how Jeremiah organizes his wardrobe--all of his black tees in one drawer and his coloured ones in another.
Other than the typical autobiographical facts, Matt knows things about Jeremiah that other people don't know. Matt knows Jeremiah's feelings, emotions and thought processes. Matt knows that Jeremiah gets nervous when called on in class and that he takes deep breaths to keep from blushing. Matt knows how much Jeremiah loves spending time with his older brother Josh, though Jeremiah would never admit just how much. Matt knows that Jeremiah hates wearing shorts in the summer because his legs are too skinny. He knows that Jeremiah is self-conscious of his looks and that he spends much more time in front of the mirror than he should. Matt knows that Jeremiah likes having his hair played with, that it soothes him and makes him fall asleep. Matt knows that Jeremiah doesn't like attention but secretly enjoys when others watch him play guitar because that is the one thing that gives Jeremiah confidence. Matt knows when Jeremiah is happy or sad or furious; he can see it in his body language, in his expression, in his eyes.
