EVEN IN BLACKOUTS (ex Screeching Weasel)
In an alternate universe where The Ramones played only acoustic guitars and were fronted by a female lead singer, the band might have sounded quite a bit like Chicago’s Even in Blackouts [EIB]. The creative force behind EIB is John "Jughead" Pierson, who was formerly the lead guitarist of the now-defunct Screeching Weasel, the band that brought punk to the suburbs before Green Day made millions with the same formula.
THE POPSTERS
All the way from Sicily, one of the southest points in Europe, we present to you The Popsters! The Popsters play a Screeching Weasel meets Scratch Bongowax kind of punk-pop this is both interesting and pleasing to the ear. Some songs even bring to mind the skate-punk style of Valencia, Spain's Wallride. Only with male vocals rather than female. Well rounded and ready to rock, the Popsters play pop for a punk populace.
SHOT BAKER
Shot Baker is a fast, hard, ballsy punk band that carries the same clenched-fisted attitude yet carefree charm as the city of Chicago. Shot Baker is looking to simply have a good time with playing and producing good music with a sing along attitude!
