The change we need, or a recipe for disaster?
In local news, the DC city council voted to extend last call to 5 am on inauguration weekend. FIVE. FUCKING. AM. Pretty nice, although everyone will be hung over and miss the big event - or is that the plan?
Regardless, sounds like fun to me! Also need to look into inauguration balls - I've already received an email or two about a few, but no prices yet. Might be lots of fun to take the girlfriend out for a little celebration over our man's big win. Who doesn't like to get dressed up and mingle with the bigshots?
Oh yeah, and I just heard that I'm off work on January 20th - pretty nice. I would have taken it off anyway - I'd planned on getting into the city and getting... somewhere (I still don't have much of a plan for this) - but it's nice to know that I'll be celebrating our new President and still getting paid. Horray for liberal media companies!
